I've never been talked to. I don't know if Grallon has been talked to or not, but I've NEVER been talked to. Sadrach and I had a conversation once(which is probably why I respect him more than ANY of the others), but by and large none of the others have ever said a word to me.

Pikel may very well be an outstanding roleplayer, but you must have to be in the Sylvan Cabal to see it cause I've had a few heroes in his day and none of those outside of Sylvan have ever heard a word from him, except maybe a "Help! Blanketyblank is attacking me!"

My problem with Sylvan is their collective mentality and I think Grallon's might be the same. Were I to roll a sylvan up right now I'd avoid the city at all costs. It'd be painful for me to look at. I'd probably see visions of animals having their homes destroyed so that the cobblestones could be layed down. Seeing it wouldn't be the spark under the powderkeg that nearly all Sylvans see it as today, as a catalyst that causes their endless bloodthirst. It would be something I dread. If I were to step into a city as a Sylvan I'd want it to do physical harm to me, I want to be scratched or wounded every tick I was inside JUST because it would be that painful of an experience. I would want no part of it. A WANTED flag would be a sign of shame for myself. It would show that for one reason or another I briefly accepted the existance of the city, maybe to go in and practice, maybe to buy some food and drink, and yes, even to go in and attack somebody.

I think THAT'S where the Sylvan rp falters. You don't see tigers, lions, or wolves rushing into DC to kill and maim people. If there were lions and tigers around DC I'd sure they'd do everything they could to avoid it like the plaque. I don't see sylvans as trying to emulate nature, I see them as using it as a reason to kill and get the overpowered abilities to do so.

So, here's the solutions you ask for:
A)Make sure that EVERY sylvan is doing something for the forests. When was the last time you saw a Sylvan Bard using his abilities to draw people into the forests? When was the last piece of propaganda sent out by a Sylvan bard detailing the greatness of the wildlands? It's been a long ass time. Nowadays all the bards are are warriors with songs. I'd shit myself if I saw Pikel or Asihara or any of the really stop somebody in the forests from defiling. I've sat in Galadon with my owl over Emerald Forest watching people kill round after round of dryads, meanwhile Pikel et al are out in Haon Dor waiting for an arbiter to peek out.

2) Talk with people. Get to understand the other side of the coin. You're protectors of the wild, not mindless savages like the battleragers. You should be trying to emulate nature as much as possible, but not at the expense of becoming a wanton destroyer. As I told Sadrach during our conversation, forming a deathsquad(I didn't use that word) doesn't draw people into the forests to bask in its glory, it scares them out of it and into the city because they know they're at least partially safe from bloodfiends there. People who are afraid of something tend to wish to see it destroyed, so forming these death squads is a detriment to nature, not a form of protection.

There's more I could put down, but I really do have to get to homework now.
