You people have such a messed up definition of courage.
Main Entry: cour·age
Pronunciation: 'k&r-ij, 'k&-rij
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English corage, from Old French, from cuer heart, from Latin cor -- more at HEART
Date: 14th century
: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty
mean mental or moral strength to resist opposition, danger, or hardship. COURAGE implies firmness of mind and will in the face of danger or extreme difficulty.
Where does this say that courage lacks calculation. Where does this say that someone courageous can't pick his fights. Where does this talk about fear?
The definition of courage most of you whiners talk about seems to be the one where the rager faces down innumerable opposition without a thought. That seems to me more in keeping with a lack of caring about the outcome more than any sense of courage.
