1) You died because you entered several serpentstrikes before the first one ever went through. Also, you led with entangle, when you have better things to do against a mage. Don't blame the conjurer.

2) Contrary to what you mumbled above, Conjurers are very difficult to play correctly at all levels. At hero, they are quite a viable class as well, and probably make up 10-15% of the heroes I see.
