I have to side with Grallon here. Though the log does not show the entire string of incidences leading up to this attack, it is wrong for any hero to kill a 17th ranked anything.

Did he have a pet? No. But he DID use a cabal power to directly cause the death of a player out of his range. Garble is one thing - it's an inconvenience. Disperse is one thing - it's an inconvenience with a bit of danger added to it. But to be able to turn a sub-20s paladin into lawn mulch, within his guild, no less...well it would seem to be a blatant violation of the spirit of the rules even if it is not explicitly stated that "lichs shall not kill those outside of their pk".
