I'm 100% behind you, Saerin. I was going to say something, also, but I've already posted too much :P I figure by now it'll just be you, me, and good aligns reading this thread. hehe.
Just to elaborate, in CF there are people that you can trust. For good aligns, this is especially important, because knowing you can trust them not to leave you to die allows the two of you to accomplish amazing things over overwhelming odds. The Servant powers suck. The Maran have no powers at all. All they have is their reliance on one another. So the issue for Chaldaie to recall just then was more than whether she'd live or die in that particular battle. It was how her future interactions/collaborations with Jheriohn and the warders and everyone else he talked to would unfold if she left him and he died.
However, the whole situation is suspect. And Jheriohn basically allowed her to die through his inaction. (no offense, it's true, but we all freeze up sometimes and hesitate). Why *did* she decide to heal him there and not South. Why *did* he perform socials like twiddle and not sing "nightmare" or at least "life to the dying"? These are just choices that should be looked into for the cause of her death, not whether or not she should have recalled, in my humble opinion. Because in reality, she only had the ability to perform three actions (all flees). Once that battle started, unless someone else interveined (like Jheriohn) she was pretty much toast.
