This isn't always a reliable mode of transportation. As I'm currently playing a healer
I find it a bitch to gate to a cooshee sometimes. Being a Servant, and having someone
rely on you, it's rather weak to recall, and tell your groupmate you weren't able to make
it back because you kept failing gate. It does happen.
> And you could just gate to an orphan in balator, so don't give me any "can't gate to jheriohn in the citadel" crap.
See above.
> Spamming flee while fighting a cabal inner guardian, when you are also opposed by two or three pc's, is just, well, silly. (If you can just recall and return like lightning.) Let alone the fact that recalling would have let you put up prot shield, and allowed you to be free from lagging attacks, and actually do something to help Jheriohn.
Here is where I agree with you. Spamming flee isn't going to be the best option once Aradan dispelled her prot shield.
I would have thrown a couple of rejuv's my way to get some hps then tried to flee. Then run south to give you the short
time you need to put the shield back up. If the bard was grouped, he'll tag along (if not fighting the vanquisher) and
you can aid him at the same time.
> Also, given that Aradan was the only one who could fight jheriohn, I dont see that he was in all that much danger. He can flee and sing cold on him without fear of someone else attacking -- even if aradan summons him.
The question might be did Chaldaie know that ahead of time? If she didn't, there is no way for her to know otherwise.
> Mostly, the point is that your plan, spamming flee and failing and dying, didn't work. My suggestion -- which was just that, and phrased perfectly nicely, contrary to your little tantrum -- would likely have saved your life and his, and you'd have been able to return better equipped to kill the vanquisher.
It was a strange move from the outset. I believe she wanted to save Drizzt's panther icon which has an interesting roleplay
base, but in reality the plan was ill conceived from the start.
> Oh well, sucks for you. You can always go kill the paladin again for that ring you love so much.
Ouch.
