The conjie, who is an arcane, helped the healer, who is a divine. They were not in each others range, not even close, and the conjie could not help kill the assassin in any way. So they were not grouped. The conjie nor the arcane sect had ANYTHING to gain by helping the divine. The codex was going to get taken anyways, even with the assassin dead, so there was no need for the conjie to help. What I do not understand is why the healer was anethed. He just accepted the conjies comments. Why would he not? He had everything to gain from it. Almost a greedy deception. More imperials should be like this, greedy to other sects.
