Hmm, I can actually see why you were told that such a thing was a Bad Idea. Although I would readily concede that to be "told off" by a cloaked immortal without debate is a Bad Thing... In any event, the whole premise of Arbiters is to uphold laws. In game terms this refers to the content of 'help law' and 'help arbiter'. This two texts are clear. Arbiters exist to uphold a sundry of laws wihtin the larger cities of Thera. Anyone who breaks these laws, aids a "criminal" or obstructs justice will be flagged. Flagged players can be hunted down regardless of where they dwell in Thera. There is no mention, not even an implied one, of either actions beyond these cites, or actions concerning other other cabals, alignments or races. The laws simply relate to pkilling and plooting and permit justice to be served anywhere on Thera. Nothing more. Therfore, to target a whole cabal because some of their members are criminal is bogus and is an abuse of the powers granted to the Arbiter Cabal. There can be no vendetta, no collective guilt or any other such nonsnese. Seek and punish criminals, nothing more. If a Warder is a criminal, seek him out. If not, leave her be. It goes further as well. If you decide to rank in FoN and Warders about decide your presence in the feral lands of Thera is unwanted and send you packing, tough. Arbiter laws DO NOT apply outside of the chosen cities (protected areas). Unless you can honestly say that your actions in FoN (to stay with the example) were in pursuit of a criminal, keep your fingers away from 'flag '. That's the fine line the Arbiter must walk. Some do walk it well, many are confused (like the Rager who quaffs fly potions to his heart's content). Indeed, this confusion led, ultimately, to the demise of Justice. So, I applaud the RP invloved for it is plausible to use the laws as a personal vehicle (witness jurisprudence in the US). But the immortal was correct, a cabal war as per your log is wrong. If you wish to destroy the Warders and take the sapling, it must be without the might of the Arbiter Cabal. And here the entire Warder Cabal would "flag" you. And even here your death would not be an illegal act (UNLESS you were pked in an protected area or in "hot pursuit" [which can be easily abused]).
