Your view on this sutiation is understandable, but I cannot agree with it completely. Five years ago, when my friends and me just started playing, we didn't have any other sources of information (ICQ, IRC, forum) besides the game itself. It was a fun to explore the realms ourselves, play different characters, learn about their advantages and weaknesses. And this experience, though gained hard, had proven itself very helpful. Each of us had several successful characters, though we don't spend as much time playing as most of the others do. The point is that the only really valuable game experience is the one that you have gained itself. For example, nobody will tell you everything about conjurers unless you play one itself or interact with one of the conjurers IN GAME. "Better to see once than to hear a houndred times" is a wise thought, and I have the reasons to follow it. So, finally, my point is: it is much more helpful to find the information in game from the direct source than to try to collect it from many contradictory sources.
Sorry for the long post, but I think this topic requires an attention. Anybody who doesn't want to discuss it here please feel free to email me.
