In Reply to: Perhaps both you and Sladin should review the term "immortal". Otherwise, keep trying punches. (n/t) posted by Proud Blade(VIP) on July 11, 2000 at 09:22:36:

First, let us consider the fact that I knew his power, that I knew what the outcome would be, and that my role as an Acolyte demands that I remain. That leaves me with two options. End the situation peacefully, or go down fighting defending Sladin.

*See helpfile in regard to an Imms decree, an Imms word goes. Consult overall knowledge of Immortals and their power, realize he can hand ass-whoopage to sladin at a moments notice. Look back on what I have written and realize I have already written something about knowing how the fight would end and even having spoken with Astein about it. Laugh at your attempt to point out my ignorance. *

It was more an issue of roleplay, not breaking the rules. Had Astein demanded we remove our items and hand them over to him, and had a legitimate reason, I would do it. But it was an issue of roleplay that I didn't log, maybe Nivek did. Regardless the roleplay before hand, which you have no knowledge of, would probably offer you some helpful insight before snubbing me for not knowing the term "immortal"

Not everyone is oblivious. Let us all crucify me for not knowing the level at which an Imm gets the set ability. Not everyone is perfect. I thought the situation was well RP'ed, though again, I do not agree with much of what was said by others during the whole confrontation. You comment on a log and on my offered opinions. Let us see if we can get the rest of the log so you can see everything that occurred.

Hrm, Perhaps Eryndorial would offer his insight to the situation if he finds the time. He was there for a fair bit of it, including the drinking with Ashaxreyn in the beginning. I wouldn't mind hearing something from Astein either, if he has a moment or two to post thoughts on what happened.
