Thanks for your input. Yes the code is impossible to follow flawlessly, especially if you follow different faiths. A holzt paladin would be expect to pk even amounts of good neutral and evils. That breaks the code big time. I was sphere judgement and follower of Bt. That in itself is far weirder than the typical hoards of marans.
As far as i know, im the only current Bt paladin. Picking up the gold was just sheer pot luck, and I got rid of it as fast as possible cause i knew it was to much and it was greedy, I kept what i needed for personaly use. Your claimer on evil items (red aura), as being unacceptable is a sterotype of the genere of paladins. A maran Id expect to follow that flawlessly. Being a sphere judgement paladin I judged all equal untill otherwise proven. The wearing of the manta skin bracelets was just one of hundreds of little things that my Rp consisted off. Some people wear their lords shield as part of respect (rising pheonix), Others whom are studying the forge in the village carry ingots of metal, sharpening stone anvil, hammers etc.
Just saying you can remember just fine where evil lurks is like saying, you can rember just fine what the ignot feels like , what the shield is like to wear.
It is nothing like actually use it, useing it openly for all to see. so they interact and question you. That is the whole base of Rping.
As for carrying good magical items.
mantan skin bracelets are 2 2 15 mana, I could have kept the wide coppers I had previously if i Was going for the eq.
As for carrying some pathetic item, the rp was based on me seeing the evil on my hands, and the purity in my sword whilst i fought.
It was to remind me that in battle even your allies can turn on you(massive story dont wanna type it out, didnt want to put in 3 pages of role for it).
Your assumption that i could use pen is poor.
Another aspect of my rp was a betrayal of a diplomant, who was killed useing a enchanted pen knife. I dont touch pens nor write. (just one of many rp aspects).
If i was a maran Yes, id expect to be unempowered, Shokia wouldnt put up for that sort of shit. If I was a sphere deception paladin empowered by a evil god Would it be legit ?.. Probably. Under the circumstances What i did I deemed valid by my Rp. I've been waiting at my current levels for a couple weeks now waiting to have a nice and long talk with Bt about all that has happened all that i've learned etc etc. I did it once and was waiting for it again.
If you also read previous posts there is a quote from a Immortal. You say twisting the paladin code, I was merely holding some rules higher than another. Breaking the rules Id say no. I new what i was doing was walking the thin grey line, But i've been doing that since day one with this paladin.
The Immortal in question didnt lift a finger to try and rp with me. If they were unwilling to Rp with me, there sure as fuck werent gonna read 30 pages of role. It's easier to Rp with a player than it is to interperate their role, and with Rping you actually get a crap load more from the player than their role. You can ask more questions into why or what. The role cannot contain all events for hundreds of playing hours.
