Fiend is my bane. Nepenthe tells me to "think outside the box" so it's quite possible that I don't have a damn clue about any aspect of the the damn thing. I've played 3 or 4 bards that have had it but I didn't learn a damn thing about it other than the echoes you get for the stronger ones and so on. I don't play the game that way, I don't analyze every minute detail and I'm not one to try and puzzle the shit out :)
It's like that scene in Patch Adams where that crazy old dude held up 4 fingers and told Patch to look through the problem. Patch saw 8 fingers, but if I were to do it I'd say 4 and when he said I was wrong I'd bash his fucking head in for being a pinko commie wacko.
That's just me though, fiend drives me to insanity.
