It's one thing to give bad advice on skills that you have no experience with. It's another thing to give bad advice that is contradicted right in the helpfile.
Sladin, you shouldn't be calling anyone "newbie" for a very long time. Someday, when you can put together a recond that is better than:
One evil slain, 31 losses.
Then you might want to consider making fun of log board tactics. Until then:
1) Read "help circle stab"
2) Make fun of the fact that the thief pauses to look at a cloud giant, then tries to trip.
Of the many things the thief could have done differently: scrolls, disarm, vuln-exploiting weapon, steal (at least some gold), etc.
