Um...I thought it was a good fight on both sides. He surprised the assassin first, almost killed him. Assassin vanishes but is trapped, with the ranger between him and the exit. Ranger places a wall so that the assassin can't slip by, waylays him, insect swarms so he can't vanish again. Assassin attempts to make the ranger drop his weapons due to strength loss, ranger starts to get beat a bit, calls a wolf in to help (at the last minute) and ends up fleeing. when he returns, he finds that he's been marked and can't ambush the assassin, so he lags him with bearcharge and finishes the battle.

I thought it was well-fought on both sides.
