Should have used waylay. Yes, it does make quite a difference. The assassin would have been dead then and there if he'd waylay'd instead of ambushed.

The ranger then manages to get away and herb, while the assassin is stuck in a wall of thorns. Yay for sylvan powers. Yadda yadda, the rest is obvious. Kudos to the assassin for remembering to mark him, although it didn't help.
