> I gotta think that as a shaman the goodness of your soul comes before the apparent lawfulness(I'm assuming you're lawful, cause if you're not you've not a leg to stand on in this debate). OOC First, we dont need to be lawful to despise the baron. IC They is no reason for thier existence. > If it's your character's role to despise Entropy then that's all well and good, but you should NOT aid the Empire in any way. The Empire WANTS to have all of the items that belong to their Emperor in his Throne, why as a lightwalker give one to them on a silver platter? OOC Why bother, thier item cause more trouble than the empire can cause sometime and first of all, there is a balance to keep between, again, the law and the chaos. > You're a shaman, you do what you have to do to spread the word of your religion, which in this case must be deeply rooted in goodliness. Empire is the epitomy of Theran evil and entropy does what it can to rebel against this evil(even if not for moral alignment). OOC No, your character NOT need to enforce the light as a Maran. The character may be good, and think how he could help the light by is own mean. IC I am a shaman with follow the reason so I have to find a goal, a mean for thier existance and I find none. > If I were a Maran and I heard that you did anything to aid the Empire(which you plainly did) then I'd ask Shokai to wave the ban on harming lightwalkers when it applies to you. I'd then hunt you for a darkfriend and scribe the dragon's tooth on your door(WOT reference) and call the whitecloaks to burn you and your parents at the stake. In fact, I will say it again, I DONT AID darkwalker since there is no harm done to any lightwalkers. And I dont aid the dark in giving something that doesnt bother the balance. It's would be like giving them a peace of bread if they were to die. Would a good shaman of mercy, tattooed of bria would have mercy on a dark that might, obviously, done not much wrong in is life but beein evil? Would the maran run after that shaman for having had mercy? > This also raises another debate that's better suited for the CF forum, even though it's been brought up before. Should holding another cabal's item grant you some minor extra power? If it did, then maybe you'd think twice about going against your alignment because of some petty squabble. If it would give some minor powers I would not give them. I just give them because this items is a waste and doesnt empower the empire. > Once again, kill Jagaub 10 times if you want, kill him at the pit if you want, but give an item to the Empire? Appalling. Seem you didnt read well the first time I will write it again : "It's easier to kill a baron that can't disperse, dopple, muddle, gilberish, etc.
