> OOC Why bother, thier item cause more trouble than the empire can cause sometime and first of all, there is a balance to keep between, again, the law and the chaos.
You're giving power to the Evil Empire, plain and simple.
> OOC No, your character NOT need to enforce the light as a Maran. The character may be good, and think how he could help the light by is own mean. IC I am a shaman with follow the reason so I have to find a goal, a mean for thier existance and I find none.
Being a Maran is about stamping out the evil, tearing the darkness out of the sky, etc. etc.. Giving more power to the Empire is hardly helping to stamp them out.
> > If I were a Maran and I heard that you did anything to aid the Empire(which you plainly did) then I'd ask Shokai to wave the ban on harming lightwalkers when it applies to you. I'd then hunt you for a darkfriend and scribe the dragon's tooth on your door(WOT reference) and call the whitecloaks to burn you and your parents at the stake.
> In fact, I will say it again, I DONT AID darkwalker since there is no harm done to any lightwalkers. And I dont aid the dark in giving something that doesnt bother the balance. It's would be like giving them a peace of bread if they were to die. Would a good shaman of mercy, tattooed of bria would have mercy on a dark that might, obviously, done not much wrong in is life but beein evil? Would the maran run after that shaman for having had mercy?
You are aiding the darkies by giving them more power, which gives them more sway over the lightwalkers. Ok, question, is your shaman a maran? If so, you wouldn't give a rat's ass if all the darkies in the empire keeled over and died of starvation. To a shaman of bria, or let me rephrase that, a holy warrior of bria, mercy just might mean a swift sword to the enemies of the light, saving them the agony of a longer life where they can be punished. Marans aren't in it to see that there is balance, they want to kick darkie ass. Granted there is some room for interpretation but dealing with evils, IMHO, sure ain't one of them.
> > This also raises another debate that's better suited for the CF forum, even though it's been brought up before. Should holding another cabal's item grant you some minor extra power? If it did, then maybe you'd think twice about going against your alignment because of some petty squabble.
> If it would give some minor powers I would not give them. I just give them because this items is a waste and doesnt empower the empire.
It's an item of power, regardless. See above. If you were going to give it to anyone you'd give it to the Arbiters.
> Seem you didnt read well the first time I will write it again : "It's easier to kill a baron that can't disperse, dopple, muddle, gilberish, etc.
So keep the equation with the arbs. If there aren't any on, tough luck I say.
