The more we limit the possibilities of what a character can or cannot do, the less decent roleplaying we're going to see. However, if you enjoy cookie-cutter personalities, then you're on the right track to ensuring them in the future. And no, I don't think a couple of quirks alone makes a character's roleplay original.
