In Reply to: Stupid me, who on earth would want a spell that gave them 750 hp, 10% dam reduction, and could unspeak someone who can't spellbane. *bonk self* posted by El mucho guapo on January 4, 2000 at 18:42:42:

1. I have 1050 hp without transform, so barrier
virtually gives me 1050 more hp so with barrier
I virtually have 2100 hp.
2. Transform in a forest gives me 968 hp and no
dam reduction so with transform and without
barrier I have 2018 hp.
3. Transform on a target gives me 726 hp and 10%
resistance. So with it I have 1776 hp and 10%
resistance virtually it's 1973 hp. Damage is
the minor thing, transform lags you for 4
rounds and unspeak in the beginning will not
change anything (they either flee or give you
nice 4 rounds bearting).

This simple math shows that 1. is the best
and any mage can get get that much.
Also, I have 14 trains left part of them I am
going to convert into hp when I become old and
this will make 1. even more preferrable.

But transform is still good. You have to go get
items that give you barrier, but transform is
always with you whenever you need it. Also,
I have pretty nice eq set, without it, 2. would
be the better way, but I repeat, it's the way
any mage can use.
