Resist - Years of careful study of the mind and body in combat situations have increased not only the Rager's mental tolerance to pain, but also his body's tolerance to damage. By setting their focus on the mind-body interface, ragers have developed the ability to resist blows that would level an ordinary warrior.
Field dressing - In battle, there is chaos. More than 70 percent of casualties occur due to the first clash - the first three minutes of battle. However, death comes slowly to most of this 70 percent. When the battle is long since over, there lie many wounded, bleeding, dying souls on the muddy earth. With knowledge that dates back as far as war itself, the Ragers can apply quick field dressings to a fallen comrade, enabling the fallen to stand and fight beyond the first few minutes of battle. Even a small portion of fallen soldiers with the ability to rejoin the combat can easily sway the tide of battle, though the post-combat healing process can still be quite grueling.
I hope this is ample justification...if not, did this at least clear things up a little bit? If any ordinary joe blow battle rager had all of the skills, I'd agree with you - something's wrong. But they don't. Now there is actually an opportunity for Rager's NOT to dish out deathblows and bloodthirst all over Thera. What boggles my mind is that people complain about that too!
