Have the imms thought to put either:

1) a "stop" command, that will kill all previous commands entered. If you're running from galadon to NT, you could type all the directions in, and then you get lagged, someone attacks you and when you finally come through, you're stuck with about 60 directions that have to go through. If you normally got attacked, you'd stop trying to go east and actually start fighting back.

and/or

2) a nickname command
COMMAND" nickname bol boltthrower
That would allow you to type "look bol" or "kill bol" That would force people to start coming up with names that actually sound goo rather than some name like "dfsjioncvdin"

Just a thought.
