First, I'd like to say that the empowerment system works well right now. I've had a druid and paladin not so long ago, and in neither case was the process particualrly arduous- just enough to keep me honest. Now, I understand why advanced supplications could not be cast without empowerment- the power just isn't there to draw on. But I don't understand why empowerees who continue forward cannot at least learn the skills. None of them are particularly amazing (usually stuff like hand to hand, kick, and the like. It would empowerees a few extra things to work on while they fight, and it's not like any sane person is going to say "Woo hoo! Now that I have shield block, who needs supplications!". However, it might make them (slightly) less "dead meat" targets, and it would be easy to code. > I think a cleric class should be able to use his skills regardless if they are empowered or not. If that was the case I think you would find more people playing clerics classes such as paladins. A few may not even want to bother with getting empowered, being happy with the skills and low level supplications. And for those people who are serious about the char they are playing can seek empowerment. Just a sugguestion. > > The Problems with empowerment that would be fixed with my idea include, > > The imms dont see how your char interacts with other players, you generally get to level 10 or less and dont do much.
