In Reply to: To Point 5, I played Masters to play the Studious mage/explorer, not to Hack down Trees. They were made more war like, and reduced in Power. NT posted by OLD Master. on February 1, 2000 at 18:40:05:
If you look at their new powers over the old I don't think Masters were pussified one bit.
The hack down trees part is left up to the
individual master. The only ones that might
not have as much flexibility are Twist
followers. However, I can't be sure.
ones tell me which set looks more like mages
attempting to master their craft. Though you
could make a case for mana transfer and brew
the rest never totally made sense. Demon
summon? Mental knife?
I think they were changed to better reflect
their "charter", and at the same time balance
the game a little bit. Masters seriously dominated
longer than any cabal in recent memory. Everyone
is due for a lull now and then, and people like
Ven will help rebuild them.
