The point is, at level 15 even if you have a 40 dam roll and a great set of equipment, you can still be killed easily. Maybe not one on one, but take a group of two or three that can deal decent damage and bash/trip you...you'll be dead as soon as you would have been had you had a set of greenish-browns and kobold gear. Until you get to higher levels where there is more of a chance to escape combat, the gear that you loot is always subject to being lost to a simple pk. That's what people have been saying is good about the current looting rules...sure, a lowbie gets some nice gear for a few hours, but he's gonna fall sooner or later and he'll be looted as well. Hmm..rambling again
