First of all...Twist you are right...this is not the place to bring this up, he should have kept it between you two. Second, it is not unreasonable to make him learn all his spells. That is what masters is for. But, if you placed a block to keep him from learning normally like other players...I disagree. Here is why.

This is my beef. The tower marks certain
people to be elimated from the face of Thera. When someone is marked, they can be killed over and over. At least that is the understanding I got....haven't been a master of a long time. Ragers fall into this by virtue of being a rager. It is the life they pick. So he killed a rager over and over, isn't that what he is supposed to do?
I have always looked at the Tower like a nuclear bomb. They will not attack you, but if you get on their hit list, be ready to receive a lot of hurting.

Now I am just talking about those that have been marked by the Tower. If he over-stepped those bounds and attacks anyone and everyone...then I agree with Twist. I also do not know what spells he has master and what not. But, if he has made a reasonable attempt to master most of them...then it is ok he goes out and kills some (from what I hear...there is no longer the spell requirement). When he does, he is using his magic...and actually perfecting it. What good is fireball when you do not know how to use it? I.E....fireballing a fire giant when cone of cold would do more damage. By using his form, he is learning how to better use it. The art of Magic is more than just knowing how to cast something...it is knowing how to use it to achieve the best results.

All and all...he made a mistake by making this public. But do not destory his character for it. His character may have been a little bloodthirsty and he sought some easy kills. Ragers do the exact same thing. I also think he got the message...as well as the rest of the Tower. Making him learn new spells is good and fits the role of the Tower, but not allowing him to make improvements is not fair. What is the point? I think you should have made him learn all his spells with a normal learning curve than five spells with some bs block so he will not ever learn again. That just isn't right in my eyes for what he did.
