I must agree that within the last six months especially these concerns have begun to prey upon myself as well. > This is what I mean. > I challenge all of you. Roleplay is fantasy, and is by defenition boundless...trust me, roles that don't fit into the above foil CAN be fun. And if you descide to have one of those or its like as your role...fine...but at least put the effort to be original about it? > Please?
I will say right off I enjoy playing ragers, and I always have a thorough story and reasoning for my hatred. A backstory that is also built upon as I continue along and I do listen to the points of views of others and then explain my own, or vice versa.
I have tried out a scarab, and every single kill was at least followed with a conversation, most were preceded with one as well, except elves and storm giants for obvious reasons.
I do my best to explain my actions, to those I am against, and those I am for.
Sadly I see many do not.
In the Ragers I am often hearing what is known about warriors and thieves and assassins over the cb. I then hear no one claim knowledge, then the first person laughing saying they have slain xxxx. I mean this is with no reason other than he was there.
When I am aggressed against, I try to ask why of the person, I am lucky if I even get a grunt from most.
Roleplaying is necessary so say the imms, I would love if they really started cracking down on that rule, BUT with the nature of the game its bullsh*t that it should come to them having to do so.
The game is not made to run around and kill only, it is a pk mudd, a fantasy roleplaying enviornment where yes you do kill but you also INTERACT with other characters and build a ROLE for you character, filled with reasons and personality. Well this is long so I will leave it with that.
thank you for your time, and those who put in the effort thank you for teaching me to love this game.

> Tonight I had the misfortune of interacting with someone. I say Misfortune because This person has picked the roll that drove me to stop playing Citizens, and Ragers. And I say Interacted with, because I spent a good hour and a half trying to have a lucid conversation with said person trying to elicit more than form rp...to no avail.

> "Praise the Truth(scarabs)or die", or
> "Praise the light(marans) or die",
> "Say I am the Mortal Lord of shrubberies, or die".
> Not much difference there to the outside observer. That is where Roleplay comes in...WHY do you have these beleifs that make you a fanatic?
> While these roles are adequate and valid in the Carrion fields environ, I have found myself trying desperately to distance myself from this....well...foil and stale roleplay...to no avail. Why? because it takes zero skill to roleplay this roll without any raison d'etre, and way to many people in my opinion opt for this. This is why I gave the person mentioned the opportunity to proove that he was not so shallow....and was sadly dissapointed.
