From what I have seen...

If you change alignments, no matter how, you lose specs, spells, supplications, etc. Only way to restore them is through immortal involvement... which isn't likely 95% of the time.

Even if you seemingly have nothing to lose (like an assassin/thief), trust me when I say there are other... unfortunate consequences that screw you later.
