well my take on this is that blackjack and strangle is a skill. meaning that once you blackjack or strangle someone the blackjackie is very warry of the person that done that to him and the second hit won't be a suprise. After you strangle someone they hold their throat and are not about to let you get behind them to strangle them once more. But a Spell is different because it uses magic to put you to sleep... nothing physical. The victim is just as vunerable when you cast the first sleep as when you run back and cast again. Plus, would you really like being on the reciving end of a blackjack,backstab,flee,blackjack,knife,flee blackjack, ect, ect. Now that really would be overpowered. And if a necro cast sleep on you and you make your saving throw... do you really want to stick around to see if that fully preped mage won't kill you.

Just my opinion... i could be wrong... hehehe i probably am.
