As was discussed back in the time of Knights, different classes have spent time learning different skills.
Why should a conjurer be penalized because he spent time learning to conjure an elemental instead of learning to bash? It's a matter of opinion, but learning to conjure pets is not persay dishonourable any more than learning to call bears was dishonourable for a ranger.
Saerin's point about forcing others to serve you is a fair one, and that might be considered dishonourable, but is a matter of opinion.
