Some immortal needs to take the paladin class under their wing and come up with some neat shit for it. Hell, there've been a hundred billion cool ideas put on this forum by different folks, God only knows why at least some of them haven't been implemented.
The main problem though is the horridness of empowerment for most people, and the general lack of will to go through that mess to play a class that is in large part a poor choice.
I was praying to Jesus christ himself that conjurers would be a good only mage class, but you see how he came through for me don't ya.
You put in a tough class that doesn't need empowerment and is good only and you'll see a more even balance.
PS, if somebody brings up Dawn in this thread I'll put a hex upon their village.
