Basically, name any race/class combo that a good aligned char can play that even have the smallest glimmer of a chance of walking into a group of people like Palan or a lich?

Sure it can happen on a small basis, but take the same player, give him a lich or ap, and give him Every good aligned class you can think of, and the Lich or ap will win every time. Period.

My point was that cf would be insanely more fun if it was possible for two players of equal skill/knowledge, playing opposite aligned chars, to square off toe to toe and be equal.
