Umm....

Invoker. Conjurer. Easily. I've done both.

A bard definitely can, but not in the same guns-blazing style a lich might. And yes, even a paladin.

And since when do you list APs as powerhouses? Was there some meeting I missed where this was adopted as consensus? I can name maybe three or four APs in the past two years that have been fearsome. Personally, Yaethle, Tikich, and Guerric gave me problems. Palan did well also. Zulghinlour too. I can name more people who've been successful in nearly every other class over the past two years.
