I'm not too sure how to answer a question like that... It's a difficult one to justify. Only that in general, someone who has put their life to being with the law finds little more important that the quest for justice and such. Generally, however, groups with opposites (such as Paladins with Necromancers) get together only when hunting a powerful criminal or an known enemy of some sort.
Someone else would have to answer the question of where it relates in terms of Empowerment... Some Immortals are quite concerned about things like this, such as Shokai: "All duties to guild, race, and cabal are secondary to the duty of a Maran." One empowered by the Silver Phoenix would have some trouble with this one... I must admit, I'm curious if anyone has had this problem of cabal vs. religion come up as a serious problem in role... Anyone?
