Ihlrath, Challen, I just saw Veinhard help kill a storm paladin, Gelkof. etc. ad infinitum.

You can argue against this by saying that in their beleif system the people they killed were not good. But you can say the same thing about Hitler.

I think the common concensus is that he was pretty damned evil. But he did not think he was doing evil, he thought he was doing good. He thought that it was right and good to slaughter millions in the name of the aryan race and his reich.

My point is this. Sure cf is not real life. but to distill the definition of good an evil down to that base statement is VERY limiting...at best. Sure you can boil everything down to self interest. I could even boil down everything to darwin's survival of the fitest. but that does not take into account the wonderfull, hideous, thing called sentience.

To say that all evil people do evil things out of self interest, is well....like saying columbus was a good man because he discovered america....a glossover that ignores most of the facts.
