The flee knife tactic, while affective sometimes, is a cheap ass tactic.
And there are many ways around it.
Mages can use the time to word, shamans get another chance to do one of their first attack supps(rot/wither), bards/necro's/a-p's get another chance to sleep, assassins get another chance to strangle, etc.
In all, it is not a very smart tactic if you go against someone who is half intelligent. But, if you take away parting blow, there will be nothing to stop thieves from pulling this on warriors time and again...and cheap tactics are just that...cheap. Right now, it is fine and balanced in the game the way it is. Thieves have other things they can do in combat.
