Well, what do you think a thief loner should do? Stay still and start kicking? The idea of knifing sounds more attractive to me, even if this may not always be a winning strategy , I bet there's a higher survival rate. And, remaining still kicking, really doesn't seem like a winners strategy to me. Though this could depend on how you have divisioned your ability to hit and making damage.
Besides, this is the second time you don't read correctly in one of my posts. First time about shapeshifting and now you think I mean that thieves can escape parting blow every time? Read the lines man! I say they should get a save, not a 100% success.
Also, did I say you could use this against someone who can see you? No, I did not, you only use this when you're unseen or against someone who is either slow or half-intelligen (that can see you).
