> raiseing zombies is possibly the most frustrating thing I have encountered on cf...it can be simply impossible some days to get a real army...so my question is this why in a crash are they lost...cabal items stay where they are. the world takes up as it left off...quiting is obviously not the same thing..but with crashes....please please concider changeing this.
I can't be sure about this, but it seems to me that there is a reason cabal items can be kept track of and such things as zombies can't. Quite simply, memory. If the code had to keep track of (via a player file, or some other file out there) who had what zombie and how many and where at all times, and was constantly writing to the hard drive with that info, the lag we all know and love would increase tenfold. I'm sure conjurers would love for their servitors to come back after crashes. Sylvans would want their walls of thorns back...druids their plant growths, masters their transformed-areas, invokers their glaciers...the list goes on and on...the point is, cabal items are extremely important as a whole for fairness to everyone. A necro's zombies are only important to that solitary necro, and it's easy enough to log back on and start rebuilding in an out of the way place.
And before you ask, I've played several necros in my life, and I know it sucks, but it's life, so deal with it.
