I played on such a MUD for a time. I had a level 50 mage with firestorm. I tell you, this Gnome commanded a great deal of respect. The Inn, a safe place, was crowded when he was in a bad mood, and almost noone dared tease him. Well, a thief or two and a druid but that was about it. Very funny to summon and firestorm a newbie that had yelled at you for helping them.
