Just starting a new char, and I'm wondering what all your opinions might be on this... I've decided on dwarf as my race (looking for max hp), and I'm looking for the most defensive weapon spec. I know I've heard polearm is the most defensively oriented, but doesn't the added benefit of a shield (with whip, flail, etc), balance that out? Any opinions would be appreciated...
