I think it is because Transmuters...along with perhaps bards and healers, are quite possibly the easiest class to rank up to near hero power. Ease of rank + strong powers...equals something needs to change.
*wink*bards I believe need changing as well...they have everything, heal, group damage, mana regen, area sleep, combat enhancing, songs roughly equivilent to necro spells, this put together with ease of ranking....
I think bards, out of any class, should have a 500 xp pen instead of the piddly 300 they have now.
