Well, you have a role before you hero'd...so it doesn't look like you just jotted it down. That's a biggie...and if it evolves as your character does, mores the better (that's the only real reason it's important to write one early)...so relax, and breathe deeply.
As far as not having motivations, that's okay...really what I'm looking for in a role is explanation of why the character does what he does....if that's told by his past life, bo-yah...that's all I need. If someone wants to spell out his motivations...that just makes it easier to see why they're doing what they do...which helps the immstaff understand what the player is doing with the character.
To sum up...more or less...what I'm (at least, I can't speak for the rest of the immstaff...well I could, but I do a terrible Nepenthe impersonation) I want to see depth in the character, I want to know why they're doing whatever they're doing, and I want to see some creative thought behind it...I also like to see why they have accents if they have an accent that is...just because well...do all dwarves have to be scottish?
