First of all Dawn is not about helping others,( you don't have to be in a cabal to do that.)
it is but a way to achieve our goal, so I suggest you read the help on Dawn to find more about it.
Lots of People forget to do so and get turn down at the interview cause all they say is they want to help others.
Second, Talking to some others servants a great idea before sending your application, They usually send the apostles some comments about you and when you present yourself at the interview, the apostle already have a good idea about who you are.
Third, Reach at minimum the 15th rank, post an application and seek an Apostle.( There is currently 2 apostles soon to be three and we are there a lot)
Like in every other cabals, minimum knowledge is require, as Radahk mentioned, being in a cabal put your life more at risk and being a dawn you must be able to save people , not to leave your corpses at every corner.
