Why are forms given out randomly? It doesn't really make sense to do that...nothing is really done to get the form...and when and what you receive is almost completely random. What harm would there be in allowing people to select their form from a list of choices?
Why are the forms so plain? Last time I checked this is a fantasy game. Yet all the common forms are common animals in our time. Why arent people given minor forms like bugbears or carrion crawlers or something that can actually be found in some AD&D monster guide? Now I know that that racoon is a 'magic' racoon and all but even a level 1 gelded halfling could (or should) be able to stomp it.
Anyway...I know you've got some time on your hands, what do you think?
