Trying to be as vague as possible. I really am curious.

Say that sect A has an non-agression agreement with Cabal B.

Two members of A are seen grouped and ranking with a member of B.

Does this not violate Sect law? I thought it was worded something like this.

"You will aid anyone who is neither a citizen or bloodoathed under NO circumstances"

Or something to that effect (been a while since I have played an emp)

When I played an emp, I took this to mean that nomatter what you and your sect gained from grouping (death of an enemy, ranks, whaterver) that unless they bloodoathed, you could NOT group with them, period. (of course, sect leaders and emperor pretty much do what they want...perk of leadership).

Is this not true? Was it only a rule of the sect I have experience in? Has it changed since? Or is it just not enforced?
