Do you both dial-up?

If so, do you both dial in to the same ISP?

If so:

Do you both use the same username/password?

Do you know if your ISP allocates dynamic IP addresses, or is your PC set up with a static IP address?

Also,
Do you have 3 phone lines (1 normal, 1 for your PC, one for hers)?

There are probably other questions that I'm not thinking of (it's early). Try to answer these, and we'll go from there.
