I'm a Drow Necromancer with Chaotic tendencies. I am actively hunted by any rager within my grasp. Currently there are seven people in my grasp, five of them are ragers, one of them is me, and the other is a tree-hugging Ranger. Those are horrible odds.
I have respect for you, Quintius, and it would be a shame to see "Quintius" disappear. I have seen you chase after the criminals of Thera (soon to be me), going above and beyond the call of duty to strike them down to the best of your ability. As of late you have been less successful.
If it surprises anyone else with a Chaotic ethos that someone with the fire of Chaos burning in his heart like myself is saying that he has respect for an Arbiter, think again. Chaos is not only about hating Arbiters, until you learn that you will never be Chaotic. Delete now if you don't understand.
I am knowledgeable, and what Quintius says is true. The ragers are too abundant in numbers to be stopped. With every mage they strike down, they become more powerful. With every minute that they walk through the land WANTED and the Arbiters powerless to kill them, they become more powerful. With every problem it should be solved at the root of the problem.
Instead of jumping on the bandwagon, jump on the losing side and do something about it. Just think of the recognition you would receive if you weakened the almighty Ragers. Their head needs to be stolen, it's as simple as that. Without their head, they have normal powers... and those can be dealt with. Of course it will be easily taken back, but with every minute it is gone, us Mages can breathe easier and gain some knowledge.
Just like life, Carrion Fields is a game. Always make sure you're on the winning team. And if you're not, flee until you have the opportunity to change that.
> People can debate back-and-forth as to weather or not rager powers are sick, what is true regardless is that ANY rager is GREATLY weakened without the head.
>
> Now then, who takes the head nowadays?
>
> Empire? I think the full council lasted like a week when all the sect leaders stopped showing up. That, this silly pact they made, and the stupidly, self-destructive nature that have characterized the cabal as of late.
>
> Master? Hifflio will probably prove to be a decent leader, but for the last few RL months they've pretty much been a non-factor, though their last leader at least had the integrity to quit when he realized he couldn't do the job anymore.
>
> Basically, it seems like the arbies are the only real cabal that even fights them on a regular basis. But, since we can't get the head, we always fight ragers with all their powers.
>
> That is VERY draining after a time. There is a difference between being an underdog and someone's bitch, frankly. You need the threat of loosing to make winning more fun, but loosing all the time sucks ass. Hard.
>
> People play games to have fun. People do NOT play games to get torn up and crushed over and over and over again. It is not fun.
>
> It is very easy for a rager to claim an arby has a lack of dedication, since the Ragers are so dominant now. When you win most of, if not all of the time, it is easy to have a good attitude.
>
> I am beginning to understand why Gyranilon, Grallon, Kryn, Kopentol, and Calyldor quit. They wanted to have fun and probably just rolled up battleragers.
>
> While you may ridicule them for "bandwagoneering" remember, THIS IS A GAME, NOT WW2! If you have more fun in one cabal than another of COURSE you should go there. It's not like they're betraying their country or something; they go to where they can have the most fun.
>
> I admit, I have had a REAL shitty attitude as of late. The past half-year I've been playing, the ragers have pretty much been dominant, so the "what goes around, comes around" logic really doesn't convince me. I do not see their dominance ending any time soon.
>
> While their powers may or may not be too great, I DO know that their strength has been helped by the weakness of Empire and Master.
>
> Was there a point to this? I think it is this. I do not mind dying, I do not mind loosing, but now even I am tempted to delete and roll up a rager.
>
> People would probably cuss me out for this, but you play a game to HAVE FUN, not to indulge in sadomasochism.
>
> This bullshit has been going on for half a year now and I have had it. I will not give up on aribes yet, but this is getting ridiculous.
>
> I used to look down my nose at arbies who deleted when things got rough. Not anymore.
