Um. Isnt this exactly what Quintius said? He also sais something that you seem to have missed.

Arbiters are not allowed to take the head.

Masters (at least when manshoon was leader) flat out refused to take the head "because we do not war with them, we pity them" and when I had a master under manshoon, I was told to not be bloodthirsty and was chastised when a rager killed my group and I followed him to his village to kill him.

Sylvans do not war on any cabal that is not straight out for defilement (except Arbies).

Barons do their own thing by their very nature.

Empire now has the same relationship with battle that sylvan has.

This means, if you want to roll a character who can take the Head without getting booted from a cabal, you have to be a Scarab....And while individual scarabs are always pretty powerfull...I have yet to see them become powerfull enough in numbers to take and keep another cabal's item for longer than 30 mins.

So what we have here, is this.

A cabal that internally, and by its own rules, stays out of cabal politics, being the most hunted cabal in existance, with more people who call themselves enemies than any other cabal.[arbies]

A cabal that is a village of barbarians, supposed to be standing against the world, who has noone that can actually fight back, making their powers that were designed to help them survive as underdogs, *seem* overpowered.[battle]

How is a player to change this? The only way one player can change this in game is to make a char, become leader of masters/empire/sylvan, and change it from the inside.

How does that help Quintius' player? He can not very well roll up a char to lead another cabal and keep quintius, that would be fair to neither cabal.

He is stuck. He has put this time into developing this char's rp, and MUST show up to be a half decent Lord. But when you know that when you show up, you will die multiple times and there is zero you are even ALLOWED to do about it...it becomes less fun as a game...making logging on more of a chore because you feel obligated as a leader to log on and not be one of those dead-beat leaders that are so hated.

When a game becomes a chore, it is nolonger a game. A game that is no fun is not worth playing.

that is why I deleted. Because I could not do justice to my rp as lord when I was comeing to hate logging on as grallon more than a kid hates homework on saturday. And Grallon's rp would have been destroyed if he just stepped down as Lord. When given the choice between deleting and playing something more fun, and ruining a loved characters rp just to keep him around for a while longer...I will choose deleting every time.
