I see some conflict in the help files regarding lawful evil conduct. Perhaps an immortal could clear it up. According to the ethos help file, lawful people always follow the laws. According to the alignment help files, lawful evils use the laws for their own gain, and follow them out of fear. Lately, there has been little to fear from breaking the law. Lawful evils have no reason to fear breaking the law, but must they still follow it so rigidly, when it would benefit them to break it and get away with it?
