Despite the fact that your post presumes we all agree that Liches have been determined to be overpowered...

There were a few abusable aspects of Liches that were fixed (or, if you want to say "toned down") a while back. Otherwise, they're pretty much the way we want them to be.

If you're basing this judgement on the career of a single player, I think you're making a mistake.
