Most posts on empowerment are from folks who have never been empowered before, and, in fact, are newbies to the game. Most veteran players will have little problem getting empowered. That makes the advice... if you are new to the game, don't make an empowered character... all the more valid. If you play another class, or classes, for a good while, eventually you get the feel for when Immortals are on. You get to know where shrines are, and you develope your roleplaying. I think empowered characters should be special, very special. I think they should be, pardon the term, elite. This doesn't mean they know everything about Thera, merely they are above average in almost all aspects of the game, most importantly, roleplay. The more you play, the more you interact with empowered characters, the better you will be at trying to become empowered yourself. I think it's wrong to say, what's the point of empowerment if it's so damn difficult, the system must be flawed. The system is the way it is for a reason. I doubt the IMM's want 40 empowered characters running around Thera at once. Who is the priest going to preach to, if everyone is a priest?
